I’m taking a break to wait on the Lord
as to what He would have me do next with this blog.
But in the meantime, I’d love to continue the fellowship here by suggesting that each day you come on and share:
1: One way God ministered to you through His Word
2. One blessing from yesterday for which you are thankful.
Remember George Mueller’s exhortation that “the foremost duty of a Christian at the start of each day is to get his soul happy in the Lord!

Also, if you have prayer requests or answers to prayer,
put them in italics.
I’d love your prayers for me to hear from the Lord about this blog. I so often have run ahead of Him, so I’m trying to slow down [thus this shot of me in a hammock — I couldn’t seem to do a selfie lying down, but it is supposed to portray me slowing down and waiting on Him. 🙂 ]
Many of you are already in Bible studies, reading through the Bible, or, if not, could follow Billy Graham’s example of reading a Psalm and a chapter from Proverbs each day — for Psalms help us with our vertical relationship with God, and Proverbs with our horizontal relationships with one another.
1. Thoughts on the above and how you will respond?
2. How has God ministered to you through His Word today?
3. What blessing can you record from yesterday (or today if you do this at night)?

I took time to read through this week’s comments and found it a very real blessing to see the Word of God opened up and appied to each one’s lives. Also to hear the daily blessing of God’s hand in lives. Some were large but many were small and sustaining ways of God at work. This was all refreshing to read. Sorry I didn’t contribute more but the blog this week certainly blessed me.
Laura I continue to pray for you and your husband in this time of hard trial.
Dee I too am excited for your new book. A few years ago I took some time to read a number of books about Jesus. It was such a blessing personally to focus only on Christ during that time in my reading choices. I may revisit that exercise starting with your book when it comes out.
Thank you Bev.
Bible passage, 1 John 3:18. Dear friends let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth.
this blends so with the book of James. It is so easy for me to talk about how much I love Jesus, but a lot harder to put it into action. Today’s list is long and multi focused, so please help me Lord, to remember throughout that You are the reason for everything.
blessing from yesterday. More than a few… Sweet comments from my sisters here. The fact that the storm appears to not be a danger to the people I love in the area, including our sisters here. A quieter day at work. Enjoying a bonfire in the evening. Assurance from God that steady progress is possible, even when slow.
Word: We are in the book of Galatians for Sunday School. Just blessed to revisit my faith and to know that all is grace and not of the law or works.
Blessing:Finding some little gift ideas for my girl friends that are affordable and meaningful. Thanks to Hobby Lobby.
Scripture:
“And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.””
Luke 23:42-43 ESV

This scripture breaks my heart for the sinner.

Good friends.
Loved the sharing this week, & focus on the Word & our blessings! 🙂
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as you teach & admonish one another in all wisdom, and as you sing psalms & hymns & spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” ( Col 3: 16)
Huge answer to prayer! I am going to Switzerland with my husband in 2 weeks to visit his brother. The trip was a God thing, I know. Anyway, my hubby told me he was starting a trial (he’s an attorney), next week & wasn’t sure he would be able to go on our trip. I prayed, along with others, that the Lord would rearrange the dates of the trial. I just found out that the case was settled out of court, so no trial, & Jeff is free to go on the trip! Hallelujah! 🙂 🙂
Yay, Jenny!
